COVID-19 Announcement

In an effort to protect the health and wellbeing of our athletes and patrons alike, the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission (KBWC) suspends the state’s boxing, wrestling and MMA events now through April 5, 2020. The KBWC is following recommendations of Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear to halt the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in communities across the commonwealth.

Kentuckians can find regular updates and resources including more information about when to seek medical attention and courses of action for those in counties with positive cases at kycovid19.ky.gov.

They are also urged to visit cdc.gov/coronavirus for up-to-date information. Kentuckians who want advice can call the state hotline at 1.800.722.5725 or call their local health care provider.

The Commission will meet April 3, 2020, to re-evaluate the coronavirus threat at that time.
